Described as the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, Masham enjoys the beauty of rolling countryside on its doorstep and the buzz of a vibrant market town at every turn. The Kings Head is an 18th-century Georgian inn that looks over the market square, which has held market since 1250AD. The hotel is dog-friendly, and has 27 en-suite bedrooms. Each has been styled with an abundance of character, including things like dog-themed artwork and woodland wallpaper, and the beautiful bathrooms boast freestanding tubs for long soaks. Just 15 minutes from the medieval town of Warwick is Kenilworth, an area rich in history with its own historic castle and plenty of green spaces. For a great spot to rest your head at night, the Abbey Field offers a pub and hotel inside a charming 16th-century building. There are 31 ensuite rooms on offer, with each one decorated with a modern touch and cosy accents.
