Enjoy breakfast with Santa at one of our country pubs

Winter is here, and as the days grow shorter and the weather gains a frosty chill, we know the magic of Christmas will soon be upon us.

There's something truly enchanting about the festive season. It's a time when everything becomes illuminated with a warm, twinkly glow. Families start to deck their halls and adorn the needled branches of their trees with shimmering tinsel and plush ornaments. There are trips to festive pantomimes, cosy sips of steaming hot chocolate and buttery bites of warming mince pies.

But for little ones, we know nothing compares to the anticipation of a visit from Santa. From writing a wish list to post to Lapland, to leaving out some carrots and warm milk on December 24th, and waking up on Christmas morning to a full stocking and presents under the tree.

The magic of Santa can create memories that last a lifetime. So imagine the joy on your child’s face if they got to meet him in person. Picture the scene. His fluffy white beard and bold red velvet suit. The sound of his black boots as they make their way towards the table and pull up a chair. The chance to tuck into a delicious meal together and tell Santa if you've been naughty or nice.

At Chef & Brewer, we bring the magic of Christmas to life with our breakfast with Santa experience. So find your nearest pub and secure your date with Old Nick.

Whether they fancy a savoury start to the day or a sweet indulgence, little ones can pull up a chair and soak up the seasonal cheer from Santa. There's free tap water, as well as juice, plus parents can always take full advantage of our hot drink options. Savour the sip of a freshly-brewed coffee or soothing cup of tea.

Why Chef & Brewer are your ideal hosts this Christmas

When you picture the perfect spot to toast to the Christmas season, you may envision the incandescent glow of twinkly lights, the soothing crackle of a fireplace and a cosy ambience that feels like a home away from home.

At Chef & Brewer, all of this awaits.

The thrill of the fresh air

Tucked away in the scenic bliss of our great countryside, Chef & Brewer pubs' prime location provides the perfect backdrop for any occasion. But when it comes to Christmas, we're positively glowing with Christmas cheer.

Beer gardens are not just for summer sipping. There's nothing better than toasting to the season on a clear winter day and breathing in the fresh air. Plus, many of our gardens offer outdoor heating, as well as sheltered seating.

We also believe a festive winter walk is one of the most delightful ways to embrace the season.

The crunch of fallen leaves, bare branches covered in an icy frost, and the fresh air so crisp, you can see your own breath. We’re partnered with our friends at AllTrails, so when you stop by a Chef & Brewer, you can discover the perfect post-pub walk.

A seasonal menu that delights

Christmas is a time for indulgence, and our festive menu offers delicious plates crafted with care. You can expect the same quality and full flavour, but with a seasonal twist. From cosy starters to kick things off, to show-stopping mains, and decadent desserts for the perfect final.

Let us host you

Christmas Day is a time to gather with loved ones over a festive feast. But the chore of cooking for a crowd can take away some of the seasonal joy. Not to mention the looming pile of plates and cutlery waiting to be washed…

So let Chef & Brewer take the reins for the big day. Our friendly team of staff are on hand to ensure a perfect celebration, while our chefs get busy in the kitchen whipping up the perfect three-course meal. You can even kick things off in style with a crisp glass of complimentary Prosecco, and our menu offers a generous choice of options, so everyone can savour the flavour of their favourites.

Book before October 31st, and we’ll even treat you to a £15 gift voucher. Think of it as an early present.

Toast to the new year

As Christmas Day comes to a close, the festive season continues with the joyful anticipation of New Year’s Eve. However you choose to celebrate, a Chef & Brewer pub makes the perfect setting.

Start New Year’s Eve with a leisurely breakfast followed by a winter walk. You can enjoy pub classics for lunch from 11:30am onwards, and we’re still offering seasonal specials to tempt your tastebuds.

Toast to a great year behind us, and an even better one ahead.

Secrets of Santa

Before your little ones enjoy breakfast with Santa, we've got a sleigh full of festive facts.

Dos and don’t for meeting Santa

When coming face to face with such a legend of Lapland, it’s important little ones follow the correct protocol…

DO.. ask Santa about his full beard
Like all men, he’s very proud of his beauty routine. To get such a distinguished beard takes many hours of grooming, so he will lap up the compliments.

DON’T.. pull on his beard
As the age-old phrase goes, ‘look but don’t touch’. Bad beard behaviour is a surefire way to end up with a stocking full of coal.

DO…tell him what you’d love for Christmas
He loves to feed everything back to the elves. They run a tight ship at the workshop, so it’s best to get big orders in early…

DON’T.. ask for something unrealistic
Toys, clothing and books are fine. But unicorns that live in your back garden or a pony as a house pet? Santa can work miracles, sure, but let’s not pile on the pressure…

DO…get stuck into your meal
He loves his food, and he certainly needs his fuel with a big Christmas Eve looming, so don’t be afraid to tuck in too.

DON’T…judge if Santa goes for seconds
Or thirds. Or fourths. As we said, he loves his food. And he has to deliver presents for the whole world in just one night. If anything requires sustenance, it’s that. Plus, how is he meant to shake his belly like a bowl full of jelly on small portions?
