Ely Hotel, Camberley

A winning hotel

The Ely Hotel in Yateley takes its name from a prize-winning racehorse that won the prestigious Ascot Gold Cup in 1865. The hotel was built from the proceedings of a winning bet and named in honour of the triumphant horse.

About the hotel

The Ely Hotel, Camberley, is a wonderful rural hotel, full of rustic charm, but one that offers a modern hotel stay and a great night’s sleep. It’s ideally situated to make the most of the surrounding countryside and attractions and has excellent transport links into London.

Outside, you’ll find a large car park for guests and a striking exterior with a half-timbered portico. Inside, you’ll step into an elegantly furnished hotel with plenty of period features blended with modern hotel amenities. All of the rooms are en-suite and have large, comfortable beds, flatscreen TVs and free Wi-Fi. They’re ideal for relaxing and catching a restful night’s sleep. How to make the most of your hotel stay

Some say a hotel is 'just for sleeping'. Well if that's the case, we say that makes it one of the most important parts of any getaway. Because the difference between a restful slumber and a bad night can make a world of difference to your stay, whether you're travelling for business or pleasure.

Treat it like your own space

Living out of a suitcase always feels chaotic, especially when you spend your time tripping over the thing. Even if it's just for a night, unpack your things and store them away in the spacious wardrobes, ready for you to relax.

Explore the local attractions

You might have a full schedule planned, but taking time to explore on foot often leads to the discovery of some truly hidden gems, be it a historic landmark, local hotspot, or quiet patch to take a pause.

Ask for recommendations

The internet can be an amazing resource for recommendations, but you can't beat living like a local. Our staff are passionate not only about the hotel, but also the area that surrounds it, so if you're looking for something specific, lean on us for some firm favourites.

Make time to savour the flavour

Meals are so often rushed in our everyday lives. Quick breakfasts before we race out the door, hurried lunches eaten at our desks or speedy dinners on the sofa. So when we're lucky enough to escape for a rural retreat, try and enjoy a pause with your plate. Take a moment to enjoy every bite or toast to the company you're sharing it with.

Don't be afraid to lean on our staff

Our friendly team of staff are here to help, so never hesitate to reach out with a question or concern. We strive to make your stay as stress-free as possible, so whatever the issue, let us get it resolved.

Reasons to stay at a Chef & Brewer pub hotel

 Prime locations

With an impressive collection of hotels nestled within some of the most picturesque corners of the Great British countryside, the beauty of nature is never far away. We've got charming hotels dotted across scenic coastlines, hidden within quaint country villages and nestled on the edges of green expanses. Some of our luxury hotel options even offer picturesque views from the bedroom windows, so you can soak up the scenery in the comfort of your slippers.

Unique hotels with a rich past

Our diverse collection of hotels includes historic inns dating back centuries. These pubs may have been first built with another purpose, such as a country house, coaching inn or even a train station, but they've been restored to offer comfortable stays infused with the charm of Chef & Brewer. While the amenities may be modern, you can still spot glimpses of their rich past with antique interiors and original features.

Leafy locations close to city hotspots

One of the best things about the great British countryside is that no matter how rural the surrounding area, you're never that far from a bit of buzz. Be it a car ride or a train journey, some of our leafiest spots are less than an hour from a major city. You can explore the sights and delights before escaping back to the calm and quiet.

Tailored to any getaway

Whatever your reason for a retreat, a Chef & Brewer hotel can help you unwind. Whether it’s a romantic break with someone special, a family getaway with the kids in tow, or a peaceful solo escape to truly switch off, we have rooms to accommodate every stay.

Food menus for every mealtime

At our Chef & Brewer pubs with accommodation, our pub restaurant menus guarantee delicious dining throughout the day. Drop in for lunch and take a well-earned pause with a mouthwatering main, or settle in for dinner and unwind over something truly tasty. After a great night's sleep, you can also wake up to the promise of a hearty breakfast at the table. From sweet treats to savoury classics, fuel up for the day ahead. We can keep the drinks flowing too, whether you’re craving a rich coffee, freshly brewed tea, perfectly poured pint, smooth ale, crisp wine, fruity cocktail, or refreshing non-alcoholic beer. With plenty to choose from on our drinks menu, stop by and let us pour you the perfect drink.

Cosy bedrooms with all the amenities

Our rooms feature plush bedding that’s a dream to sink into. Many of our hotels also offer uniquely designed rooms to give you the luxury feeling of a boutique hotel experience, but at a great value. Most of our rooms come with complimentary Wi-Fi to keep you connected, along with tea and coffee-making facilities, and a TV for some pre-bedtime entertainment.
