The Chef & Brewer Collection is a selection of around 150 pubs nestled within the country. Each of our countryside pubs has its own setting full of character and charm, with a tale or two to tell. We cherish the country pub for now and generations to come.
From our proper bars where the pints are perfectly poured and the roaring fires keep everyone warm, to our cosy dining spaces where we serve up seasonal chef specials and pub classics. For the summer months, our pub gardens are beautifully kept spaces where you can unwind and soak up the sunshine.
So, whether you’re dropping in from a woodland walk, muddy boots and dogs in tow, gathering friends and family to mark that special moment, or planning a countryside escape at one of our pubs with rooms, we’re here, ready to create cherished moments for all.
Our country pubs are at one with nature. We truly cherish the beauty of the country pub and pride ourselves on guarding the tradition for future generations. We love the countryside, and we want our pubs to be an extension of the natural beauty of the outdoors.
Our Great British gardens are not only delightful places to sit on a summer’s day, but we work hard to create sustainable and biodiverse spaces. We’ve teamed up with TV’s own Frances Tophill to create our very own set of garden principles that we strive to apply to our pub gardens.
We use native and pollen-rich plants alongside reclaimed materials, and include wildlife-friendly features like hedgehog access points and water elements. We aim to foster community engagement through educational activities and support local ecosystems by planting wildflowers, trees and frost-hardy perennials. Our beer gardens are planned for accessibility, maintenance, and resilience to climate and use.
They are interactive places where our customers can immerse themselves in nature. And they help shape our meals with their seasonal produce too.

Our Humble Bumble
Here at Chef & Brewer, we’ve decided to adopt the Humble Bumble as our new mascot. Bumblebees may be small in size, but they are mighty in nature. Like all creatures great and small, they play a crucial role in our ecosystem.
Bumblebees pollinate many food crops, as well as the colourful flowers we all love to see in the countryside. Both wildflower and animal populations depend on bumblebees to survive. So we’re showing our appreciation for all things bumblebee.
