Thanks to our amazing team members who have been doing a great job over recent weeks in increasingly challenging circumstances.
We are looking at other ways we can support our regulars while we are closed and you can still enjoy our Greene King, Old Speckled Hen and Belhaven beers delivered to your door and these can be ordered by visiting www.greenekingshop.co.uk.
We want to wish you good health and thank you for your support now, and in the weeks and months to come. We look forward to when we can open our doors and welcome you back to our pubs again.
We pride ourselves on serving the best British pub classics.

Welcome to the
Located on the main A26 Tonbridge Road about four-and-a-half miles west of Maidstone town centre the Wateringbury is a traditional-style country pub with a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere that encourages long lunches and lingering dinners. The pub takes its name from the village in which it is located which is in turn believed to have taken its name from the Saxon word ‘Wotringberia’ meaning a ‘low and watery site’. Low and watery indeed it is with the River Medway running along the town’s southern edge.Inside the Wateringbury a neutral earthy palette of brown and beige tones dominate the décor with exposed brickwork and rustic wooden beams adding further warmth and charm. Classic pub fare combined with occasional specials draw in dining families as well as guests who are staying overnight at the Premier Inn next door.
