With a population of around 560, Little Berkhamsted is a charmingly small village in Hertfordshire with a fascinating history.
Although we can trace our past back to Saxon times and perhaps beyond, our greatest claim to fame is that it was here that William the Conqueror accepted the surrender of the City of London after the Battle of Hastings.
