Welcome to the
The Old Bell is in an unusual location on a small High street in Old Oxted. History has it that in the 15th Century a mayor decided he did not want any pubs in the town so he sent them packing! As a consequence the four pubs concerned moved just down the road to their present location. Today this attractive Elizabethan Hall house is on the crossroads of an ancient highway. In the early 20th Century the Old Surrey Hounds met here to start their day with a glass of port. Today a traditional style is maintained with open fires for winter warmth and comfort whilst nooks and crannies provide private corners for candlelit dining. Sometimes you know just what you want; great pub food cooked with care. Whether it's hand-battered cod & chips, the gourmet burger, or the ever-popular ‘Brewer's Chicken’, now is the time to rediscover your old favourites. Make sure you try our traditional Sunday roasts with a huge a Yorkshire pudding and unlimited gravy. The food at the Old Bell is rooted in traditional British cuisine and the chefs showcase a modern flair with the dishes they produce. The team at the Old Bell are passionate about our food menu, so you can relax and enjoy our quality dishes and great service at this fantastic venue.
