Located in the heart of the Chiltern Hills, Chiltern Open Air Museum is home to a fascinating collection of historic buildings that’ve been carefully relocated and restored. Explore over 30 exhibits, including traditional cottages, a working windmill and even a Victorian church, before trying your hand at one of the many activities on offer. 

From hands-on crafts to blacksmithing, pottery and candle-making, there’s always something happening. Speaking of which, the museum’s ‘living history approach’ lets you interact with costumed staff who bring the exhibits to life in the most engaging way.

Bekonscot Model Village

Hughenden Manor

Hughenden Manor is a captivating historical site run by the National Trust and one of the best things to do in Chalfont St. Giles and its surrounding area. As the former home of Benjamin Disraeli, one of Britain’s most renowned Prime Ministers, the manor offers a rare glimpse into both his personal and political life. 

The house itself is an architectural delight, combining Victorian grandeur with more intimate, personal spaces that reflect Disraeli's character and taste. Outside, the grounds are just as impressive. Windsor Castle
