What is the tradition of Burns Night?

Burns Night, celebrated each year around 25th January, honours Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns. Known for his timeless works like Auld Lang Syne and Address to a Haggis, Burns captured the heart of a nation. The evening typically includes traditional Scottish fare, heartfelt toasts, and the ceremonial Address to a Haggis, all set to the sound of bagpipes.

At Royal Oak, we honour this cherished tradition with a menu and atmosphere that pay tribute to Burns’ enduring legacy. It’s a celebration of food, poetry, and connection that welcomes everyone to join in with the spirit of the occasion.
