Our duck breast is served pink with a glorious sour morello cherry & red wine sauce. Served with Savoy cabbage, kale & bacon and golden dauphinoise potatoes.
Celebrate the game season with dishes that are rich and flavoursome, perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. All perfect after a long walk, or on chilly evenings sat next to a crackling fire with a pint of cask ale or one of our craft beers.
Our favourite is the Venison Rack and Game Stew. A wild venison two-bone rack, served pink on buttered fine beans, roasted red onion, beetroot and spinach. It’s served with a stew pot of succulent venison, pheasant, partridge, carrot and mushrooms in a rich red wine gravy with a herby dumpling on top.
Don’t forget to try our Game Puff Pastry Pie featuring venison, pheasant, partridge and mixed vegetables in a thyme & rosemary gravy, served with a golden puff pastry top. Or for something different, how about our British Game Burger? A mixed game, pork and blueberry burger topped with melting brie and bacon & cranberry slaw.
Some of our most-loved dishes are pubs classics. Others you might have discovered at our recent festivals. We’ve selected the best and given them a seasonal twist. Just add great company and conversation.
A favourite from our British Born & Bred Festival, our 7oz Black Angus Fillet Steak is a superb choice. It’s matured for 35 days for melt-in-your-mouth succulence. Served with sautéed mushrooms, fine green beans and finished with a baby onion & merlot sauce.
For a lighter bite discover the catch of the day from our Seafood Festival. Dive into our Seafood Medley of grilled cod loin, salmon and sea bass fillets, served with wild Patagonian king prawns glazed in garlic & coriander. Just add a splash of chive hollandaise sauce.
As well as our festival-inspired dishes our menu offers plenty of mouth-watering mains to enjoy, like the succulent Pan-Fried Duck with Cherries. The flavour combination of our Pesto Orzo Pasta Salad makes it a favourite among vegetarians and we can’t wait for you to cosy up to our new hearty Woodland Mushroom & Onion Pie.
No menu would be complete without the perfect pudding. Our Cheesecake Sharer is inspired by the best of four British flavours; Kentish Bramley, rhubarb & custard, sherry trifle and chocolate raisin… You might not want to share after all.
Or choose our Pecan & Bourbon Tart, served with whipped double cream and a drizzle of toffee flavoured sauce for good measure. Chocoholics look no further than our wonderfully sweet and indulgent black forest and cherry Double Chocolate Dream.
This golden pastry pecan tart enriched with bourbon makes this a devilishly tempting way to round off your meal. Served with whipped double cream and a drizzle of toffee-flavoured sauce for good measure. Go on…
My, oh my. Now this is what you call a pudding! A sumptuous selection of cheesecakes starring classic British flavours including Kentish Bramley apple & shortbread crumble, rhubarb swirl & vanilla custard, vanilla, chocolate-coated raisins with fudge sauce, and sherry-soaked trifle.
