It’s been difficult year for all of us and we would be delighted to welcome you into our pubs for a long overdue celebration and the opportunity to make some happier memories to end the year.
We know how important it is for you to feel safe and comfortable while you are with us and we take the safety of our guests and our team very seriously. If you’ve visited us in the last couple of months you will have seen all of the PubSafe measures we have in place to look after you while we are still socially distancing and staying alert. Your safety is our priority, while we continue to ensure our pubs feel just as welcoming and cosy as ever.
We are asking all guests, where possible, to book, pay deposits and pre-order online for Christmas to save you having to queue up in the pub. Deposits are required at the time of booking online this year this year and are £5pp (both children and adults) for bookings for our festive, boxing day and celebration menus (£10pp for Christmas Day and NYE). We are also asking for £5pp for any bookings of 7+ guests from 8th -31st December and no booking is confirmed unless the full deposit has been received*. All deposits are of course fully redeemable against your final bill (see ‘refunds & cancellations’ for more information).
This year we have made it easier for you to pre-order your meals online, allowing you to relax on the day and to give our chefs more time to order ingredients and prepare for your meal. You can either order for the whole party or send links to each member to pre-order for themselves. You’ll be sent all the info on how to make your pre-order once you’ve booked, and you will also have the opportunity to tell us about any allergen & dietary needs, special requirements for highchairs and access so we can make your visit as easy as possible. In addition to festive food menus, we have a selection of drinks offers that are only available when pre-ordered. You can add these to your booking via the pre-order website once you have paid your deposit. You can print your booking confirmation and pre-order details out from the website and bring these with you on the day (in case anyone decides they fancy someone else’s meal and tries to swap!)
We have carefully thought through seating plans (with social distancing) and staggered arrival times so we do ask you keep to your chosen time please. We understand that arrival times aren’t always in your control so please give the pub a call if you’re going to be late, so we can help to manage your booking.
We want to make your meal as enjoyable as possible so please call the pub if you need help or have any concerns.
* To maintain social distancing you must comply with UK government and local area restrictions on the number of guests/ households/extended households that can meet together indoors. Bookings can not be taken for parties larger than or not complying with the restrictions in force at this time.
To be eligible to receive a voucher, you must make an online booking on one of our Festive menus for a minimum party of two guests. The online booking must be made and a deposit paid in full by 30th November 2020. Deposits are non-refundable. £15 gift voucher will be delivered electronically by email on the 3rd January 2021 (if you have provided a valid email address as part of your online booking and have opted-in to receive our marketing communications). The voucher is valid from 3rd January to 31st May 2021 - excluding Valentine’s Day 14th February 2021, Mother’s Day 14th March 2021, Easter weekend 2nd to 5th April 2021 and May Bank Holidays 3rd & 31st May 2021. Only one gift voucher will be accepted per transaction. No cash alternative. The voucher may only be used in a single transaction and no change will be given. At least £5 of the total voucher value must be spent on food, including at least one main meal, which can include breakfast and sharers. The voucher cannot be used against the purchase of gift cards or used in conjunction with other discount vouchers or Greene King employee vouchers including friend & family vouchers – but it can be used with promotions (e.g. daily deals or set menus). Greene King reserves the right to withdraw or amend the offer at any time. Gift vouchers are not available to Greene King employees or those under 18 years old and are only redeemable at participating Chef & Brewer pubs. This year has been like no other and so it will come as no surprise to you that all of our bookings are subject to government guidelines. If government advice changes and we need to make any updates to our guidance and booking policies, we will do so here on our website. So please check back to ensure that you have the most up to date detail - for your and our teams’ safety.
If any of your party (or your whole group) needs to cancel or amend the booking due to Covid-19 symptoms, please contact us as soon as possible. We ask that you give us as much notice as you can and we will aim to move your booking where possible to a new date, or refund your deposit/ full payment. Deposits will be refunded for all festive menus when we are given at least 7 days’ notice, Christmas Day deposits and full payment will be refunded if given at least 14 days’ notice. Refunds will be made either to your card or onto a gift card to spend with us when you are able to get together once more. Refunds and gift card loading can only be managed by a member of our team in pub so please contact the pub in the first instance to discuss.
If we are unable to honour your booking due to the pub being closed then we will give you as much notice as possible and, if we can’t guarantee a new opening date and you are not happy to re-book in the future, we will of course we will give you a full refund of your deposit and any other payments.
Deposit and pre-order dates vary by menu so please refer to the menu for these details so we can make your visit as relaxed as possible and we won’t have to chase you for those final details:
Festive Fayre: Please confirm your menu choices at least 7 days before your booking. If your booking is less than 7 days away, your menu choices will be required within 48 hours of dining.
Xmas Day, Boxing Day and Celebration Menu (27th-2nd Jan, excl after 7pm NYE): Full payment and confirmation of your menu choices is required by the 17th November 2020. If booking after this date your full payment and menu choices will be required within 48 hours of booking.
New Year’s Eve Menu (after 7pm): Please confirm your menu choices by the 24th November 2020. If booking after this date your menu choices will be required within 48 hours of booking.
