A Chef & Brewer guest received a 'grand' surprise when they were presented with £1,000 after giving feedback on Ye Olde Windsor Castle pub in Leatherhead.
Helen Bullen, from Fetcham, visited the Little Bookham pub as one-off treat with partner Eddie Sinden for a Sunday Roast and was so delighted with the experience she received that she gave feedback through the pub's Guest Recommends Survey.
By providing feedback guests are entered into a monthly £1,000 prize draw from the combined entries of 800 owned by Spirit Pub Company.
Helen, who owns Fine Fettle Multi-healthcare on Bookham High Street, said: "I am always happy to give feedback about customer service as I take pride in implementing it at Fine Fettle, which was recently short listed in the Leatherhead Chamber Customer Care Awards. The team at Ye Olde Windsor Castle provided very good service on our visit and I was happy to give them positive feedback which I feel they fully deserved".
The Chef & Brewer pub reopened last month following a £225,000 refurbishment which saw the pub receive a fresh new look inside, with new fixtures and fittings, as well as an updated al fresco dining area, ready for the summer.
New general manager, Adam Downs, added: "It's fantastic that Helen has won the jackpot, it's great to know that our service was so good it encouraged her to give feedback!
"We think the Guest Recommends Survey is a cracking way to gauge how guests are feeling about us on a regular basis. We always strive to provide the best experience so it's great to know when we're doing well and what we need to improve on."
